Botox Injections
A drug called onabotulinumtoxin A (Botox) is injected into muscles affected by spasticity such as the face, neck, arm or leg. This purified form of Botox works by temporarily blocking the connections between nerves and muscles, which leads to temporary paralysis of the spastic muscle. The treatment must be repeated every three to four months.
