Community Partners

We are grateful for community organizations such as these, whose efforts enhance the care we are able to provide to children and families throughout our region, and beyond.

Art with a Heart for Children works in conjunction with the Child Life Department to give children who are hospitalized an opportunity to express themselves through various mediums; their sense of pride and accomplishment helps them regain a sense of control.

Community PedsCare is a pediatric palliative and hospice program for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. The program offers in-hospital and in-home medical, nursing, psychosocial, spiritual, volunteer and other services to support, comfort and care for children and their families. The program was established by Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, in collaboration with Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Jacksonville and the University of Florida.

Children's Miracle Network (CMN) is dedicated to improving the health and welfare of all children by raising funds and awareness for the pediatric programs at Wolfson Children's Hospital and Shands Jacksonville. CMN hospitals treat over 177 million children each year; 100 percent of all funds raised locally stay here to improve the health care for children in our own community.

Deliver the Dream is a retreat program that enables families who are experiencing serious illness or crisis to regain strength, mend spirits and just be families and kids again.

Dreams Come True fulfills wishes of children living in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia who are battling life-threatening illnesses. Unique because 100 percent of the contributions from the public go to granting children's wishes, the Jacksonville-based organization offers a momentary reprieve from the rigors of medical treatment often associated with life-threatening illnesses.

Home-Hospital Teacher Program helps families contending with the problem of school attendance for children hospitalized for a long period of time. The Home-Hospital Teacher Program (coordinated by the Duval County Public School System) offers an on-site teacher to instruct in a variety of subjects for children in grades K-12.

Patrons of the Hearts follows the mission to create an endowment fund to provide financial support for the evaluation and treatment of children with congenital heart disease from underdeveloped countries at Wolfson. Each year, the program brings five to seven children from international countries to receive corrective cardiac surgery and cardiology procedures in the C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Children's Heart Center at Wolfson Children's Hospital.

Safe Kids Northeast Florida is a local chapter of Safe Kids Florida, a member of Safe Kids Worldwide. Safe Kids Northeast Florida was founded in 2003 with Wolfson Children's Hospital serving as its lead organization. Funding is provided by Wolfson Children's Hospital, public and private grants and donations, and grants from Safe Kids Worldwide. Our mission is to bring together local organizations to address our area's pediatric injury prevention needs, and to prevent accidental injuries in children 14 and under with initiatives directed at those needs.
