Meg Rose, director of company operations for Firehouse Subs, recently presented Wolfson Children’s Hospital with a $25,000 check. The gift was the result of Firehouse Subs’ participation in the hospital’s Retail Partnership Program, which invites local businesses to partner with Wolfson Children’s Hospital to raise funds and awareness for critical programs and services.
From November 1 through December 31, Firehouse Subs donated 10 cents from every combo meal sold in its 25 Jacksonville-area locations to Wolfson Children’s Hospital, which resulted in over $12,000. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation then matched the total amount raised via the combo promotion.
Proceeds from Firehouse Subs’ participation in the Retail Partnership program will be used to fund a Fire Safety program through the new THE PLAYERS Center for Child Health at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Through this program, the hospital will have the ability to perform home safety inspections and provide smoke detectors to families in need, as well as impart important fire safety techniques to local families. "It's a privilege to partner with Wolfson Children's Hospital to help fund the Fire Safety Program at the Center for Child Heath," said Rose. "Special thanks go to our customers; their generosity helped support this great mission in our community."
