To provide this comprehensive cancer care, Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Jacksonville, partners with Wolfson to provide a broad range of blood (hematology) and cancer (oncology) diagnoses and treatments. Ongoing care is coordinated with the involvement of the child's primary care physician. Patients with cancer, sickle cell syndromes, bleeding disorders and other blood-related diseases are managed by a team of pediatric hematologists/oncologists as well as a multidisciplinary team which includes nurses, research associates, psychologists, social workers, surgeons and pediatric subspecialists.
