Baptist Medical Center and Wolfson Children's Hospital have two da Vinci robots, including the newest da Vinci S-Robot manufactured by Intuitive Surgical. Leaders in minimally invasive surgery, Baptist Health brought the first da Vinci Robotic Surgical System to our region. Our surgeons have the most experience with da Vinci in our area, and have performed hundreds of da Vinci procedures.
Our skilled surgeons use the da Vinci to perform procedures on children born with certain urologic and other anatomy abnormalities.
Ask your doctor to refer you to a da Vinci surgeon at Baptist Medical Center or Wolfson Children's Hospital.
The use of the da Vinci® Surgical System for the treatment of pediatric patients reduces trauma, incision size and the resulting scarring due to its less invasive surgical approach. The da Vinci System provides the further advantages of a motion scaling and tremor reduction that are critical in work in and around the small anatomies of infants and children.
