Abdominal Procedures

  • Appendectomy: Removal of the appendix
  • Bowel resection: Removal of a portion of the intestines
  • Cholecystectomy: Removal of the gallbladder
  • Nissen fundoplication: To keep stomach acid from flowing back up into the esophagus
  • Pull-through procedure for Hirschsprung's disease
  • Intussusception repair: When one part of an organ has "infolded" into another, minimally invasive surgery is performed to restore normal organ function

  • Nephrectomy: Removal of the kidney
  • Pyloric stenosis repair/pyloromyotomy: Open up the passage between the stomach and the small intestines
