Cerebrovascular Center 

The Cerebrovascular Center at the Walter and Michelle Stys Neuroscience Institute at Wolfson Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive care for children from newborns to 18 for complex neurovascular disorders including aneurysm, stroke, AVM and MoyaMoya Syndrome.

Our multidisciplinary medical staff is comprised of nationally recognized pediatric subspecialists with Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Jacksonville and the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville.

  • Aneurysms
  • Arteriovenous Malformations (AVM) – abnormal connection between arteries and veins in brain
  • Arterial Dissections – a tear inside the artery wall in the brain
  • Cavernous Malformations – a cluster of abnormal, dilated vessels in the brain or spinal cord
  • Hemangiomas – an abnormal buildup of blood vessels in the brain
  • MoyaMoya Syndrome
  • Von Hippel-Lindau Disease – a hereditary condition causing blood vessel tumors in the brain, spinal cord and eye
  • Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia – a disorder that leads to an abnormal formation of blood vessels in the brain and other areas
