Kohl's Gear Up 4 Safety is a year-long injury prevention program that addresses the four most common injuries to children 14 and under in Duval, St. John's, Clay and Nassau counties. These injuries are the result of motor vehicle accidents, drowning, choking/suffocation and falls. Kohl's Gear Up 4 Safety addresses these injuries though four program areas: Child Passenger Safety, Water Safety, Bike/Pedestrian Safety, and Home Safety, providing safety education and the free "gear" needed to help keep kids safe.
At some of our events you will see staff from local Kohl's stores, comprising a five-member team that volunteers their time and talents to assist us in conducting community events. Look for them in their Kohl's Associates in Action -Team t-shirts and tell them thanks for helping keep kids safe!
