Since 2006, the Kohl's Cares® philanthropic program has underwritten Wolfson Children's Hospital's community injury prevention program, in conjunction with Safe Kids Northeast Florida. These programs have focused on the areas of water safety, child passenger safety, bike and pedestrian safety, and summer safety.

Kohl's introduced Kohl's Cares in 2000 to promote children's health and education initiatives in the communities they serve, and has raised more than $102 million towards its mission of helping children since that time. Throughout the year, Kohl's sells special Kohl's Cares merchandise with 100 percent of the net profit benefiting children's health and education initiatives. With each purchase, funding of local hospitals and programming increases. Currently, Kohl's has 153 hospital partners nationwide, and Wolfson Children's Hospital and Safe Kids Northeast Florida are proud and grateful to be among them.
